111 型小型等电聚焦电泳槽用于分析等电聚焦，包括同工酶分离、法医和临床诊断等应用领域。尤其适合大量样品筛选或少许样品快速电泳以确定靶蛋白 pI 值，也可用琼脂糖 IEF 凝胶分离大蛋白。由于它不需要外围制冷装置或高压电源（ 500 V 电压已足够），也可用于课堂教学。此系统不需要使用双向电泳中 PROTEAN 等电聚。
