Mca-Ala-Pro-Lys(Dnp)-OH, a specific ACE2 quenched fluorogenic substrate, can be used to detect ACE2 activity, such as urinary, heart and lung^[1][2].

The activity of ACE2 enzyme detected by: the fluorescent peptide substrate Mca-AlaPro-Lys (Dnp)-OH is hydrolyzed by ACE2 and its product is detected by the active fluorescence resonance energy transfer method^[3].
